@00:16Hey I dig your work. I'm looking for some film makers who need music for their films. I'm trying to get more music writing for film work under my belt for experience. Let me know if you are anyone you know might be interested?
I know, right? Missed ya, girl! I hope everything's been going well for you. I've been pretty good, honestly. C: Keeping myself busy with stuff and projects for sure, haha. XD
FINALLY!! After all this time! Here is my senior thesis to share with you!! Bear with me now, this is the first time I've submitted any film to dA, and if there are any problems you see like skipping or things taking a long time to buffer TELL ME! I'll upload a smaller version of the film
So this baby took a year and a half to make! That includes visual development, pre-production, animatic, 3D modeling, texturing, 3D animatic, set dressing, and finally animation/dynamics, final rendering, and film/music editing. It was a fun and painful process to make indeed
I do love my film, but there's also alot I'm unhappy with. Many things had changed in the process from what I originally wanted. And right now, I'm actually saving up to buy the programs I need to actually redo my entire thesis. Yes. I want to remake the entire story It wont be for a while, but its a goal.
But in the meantime I hope you enjoy the tale of Kathryn, a young girl who sucks her thumb, who finds herself trapped in the very fairy tale that warned her to stop her bad habit in the first place.
Legal garbage: -My thesis was based on the tale "Die Geschichte vom Daumenlutscher" from the book Der Struwwlpeter by Heinrich Hoffmann. -I was given permission to cut, edit, and use the music "Danse Macabre" by Kevin Macleod (originally composed by Camille Saint-Saëns). -Entire short (everything in it) was made entirely by me while attending Ringling College of Art and Design. -Programs used to make this were Autodesk Maya, Adobe Photoshop and Premiere, and Pixar's Renderman.
this is absolutely fantastic. You did an amazing job! Haha, sorry, I'm gonna get a little gushy here - but honestly, You are the person who inspired me to pursue a career in Animation. Since I saw your thesis a few years ago, I decided that I wanted to make something like that. And now, I've just applied to Ringling and I'm eagerly awaiting a response from them. And I intend to work really hard to make something great. So, thank you for introducing me! HAHA i'm so sorry for being really sappy, but I just really wanted to say thanks, and I absolutely love your work!

haha, same here <xD When I was a kid I thought nothing of it, but now I'm like "oh... that was.... actually pretty messed up." haha
